[The Real Negroni story]
THE ACCIDENTAL COCKTAIL
THE ACCIDENTAL COCKTAIL
Greetings Negroni - our great triple award-winning Italian classic with notes of orange peel, clove and a hint of bitter.
Most cocktails actually began as happy accidents, and no less so the Negroni.
From an accidental beginning to a cocktail that has become a fixture of the Italian aperitivo experience, our Negroni is the result of the careful balancing of premium ingredients.
Sit back, take a sip, and be transported back in time to a famous Florentine bar.

THE NEGRONI STORY
It's Aperitivo time in the 1920s, and Count Camillo Negroni of Florence asks for a splash of gin instead of soda water in his Americano, che scandalo! And just like that, the Negroni cocktail is born. An Americano 'corrected' with gin was to become the Count's 'usual' at the legendary Caffè Casoni, who set the trend from that moment on. As it's nicely versatile, there have since been many takes on this classic aperitivo.
Crafted by our top Mixologist Patick Pistolesi whose bar is one of the World's 50 Best with equal parts Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino, Campari and Angostura Aromatic Bitters, our stylish, bitter cocktail has a thoroughly Italian heart.
Also, for all you Negroni lovers who are cutting back on alcohol, why not try our authentic low-alcohol [Negroni Next] that comes in at only 10.8% vol., it manages to maintain all its original notes!
