Women of the Sea Film Fund
Run in partnership with London Surf / Film Festival, there’s still time to enter our women’s filmmaker competition. Open to all women filmmakers, we are inviting you to submit a pitch that champions women making waves and commandeering space in the lineup.
The winning submission will receive a £5000 grant to help make their project and the final film will be premiered at the film festival.

Brought together by their love of the sea and passion for diving, Finisterre photographer Abbi Hughes and a crew of water women set out to the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea. A mix of award winning underwater photographers and record holding freedivers, they explored from surface to sea floor, even meeting some of the locals.
