80th anniversary of D-Day - final events
Many events have been hosted across Eastleigh to commemorate D-Day, marking the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.
More events [ are planned for this weekend and throughout June.
Chandler's FordFryern Pavilion, Friday 7 June, doors 7pm for 7.30pm start
Fryern Community Association will host a film night featuring a film called Letters from D-Day.

Free exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day. It focuses on Chandler’s Ford and Hiltingbury’s role in Operation Overlord and the events leading up to D-Day, and its aftermath. The exhibition will then transfer to Chandler’s Ford Library. Royal Victoria Country Park Chapel, Netley

Free doorstep collections for unwanted household items due to new partnership.
We are working with Anglo Doorstep Collections to collect unwanted clothes, shoes, books and various household items e.g. small electricals, PC’s and accessories, microwaves, and crockery.
A tree is also planted for each booking made!

Discover local activities for 5-16-year-olds this Summer
With the six-week summer holidays fast approaching, we know many families are looking for things to do.
Eastleigh Active [ aims to offer activities for children aged 5-16 years that are a little bit different and not too pricey.
Whether they are new to exercise or looking to start a new hobby, there are activities to suit all! Some of the activities include: Aerial Hoop, CrossFit, Dance, Fishing, Football, Golf, Junior Gym, Tennis, and Swimming.
Activities will run between 29 July-23 August at various times and venues.
These taster sessions are also budget-friendly at £3.50 per booking (£1 for those in receipt of qualifying benefits) and some for FREE!

The Hundred is back in less than 50 days time, bringing action-packed, unmissable world-class cricket and blockbuster entertainment for the whole family this summer!
