** Spitfire Wellbeing Fund takes off

** A fund backed with a £100,000 kick-start from Southampton Airport has been introduced to deliver support for local communities.

The wellbeing fund aimed at delivering support to communities across the Hampshire area was launched today (Friday 16 August) at Southampton Airport.
The Southampton Airport Spitfire Wellbeing Fund has been introduced to provide financial support to community organisations, charities and groups delivering initiatives that reduce health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing.

** Newt homes at Stoke Park Farm

** The Council has teamed up with the Newt Conservation Partnership to create new homes for newts.

Eight hectares of high-quality terrestrial habitat and seven clean water ponds to benefit great crested newts and other species have been created at Stoke Park Farm near Bishopstoke.
