New weekend bus service launches to take passengers to Spurn National Nature Reserve
New bus service
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is funding the new service which will run on weekends between March and November, in partnership with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

Support for those affected by incident at Legacy Independent Funeral Directors

Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council, working with public and voluntary sector partners, have pledged support for those affected by the incident at Legacy Independent Funeral Directors, which has branches in Hull and East Riding. Anyone with concerns directly related to the case should contact the dedicated helpline, on: 0800 051 4674 or, if calling from abroad, 0207 126 7619. The six-phase project is on track to start on Monday, 15 April. Diversion routes will be in place. We have been in close contact with our local bus companies to discuss temporary bus stops and navigating the diversion routes. Drop-in session planned Wednesday, 27 March.

School Streets schemes help to ease congestion outside two East Riding schools
School Streets schemes
Trial schemes have been successfully launched at two East Riding schools which are already helping to reduce traffic congestion, improve the environment outside the schools, and encourage more active travel.
The initiatives began in February at Acre Heads Primary School in Anlaby and at Burton Pidsea Primary School in Burton Pidsea, near Hedon.
