On Friday, 17 May, Operation Agrarian was conducted at Ware Recycling Centre by East Herts Environmental Enforcement and Revenue and Benefits teams, local police, HMRC and Trading Standards.
This roadside operation was aimed at targeting criminal activity on our road network including waste crime, business rates, benefit fraud, and road traffic offences.
The operation was a great success, with over 100 vehicles being brought in. There was one arrest for drug driving, one fine for a vehicle with Red Diesel, 20 Traffic Offence Reports, and Vehicle Defect Rectification Notices were also issued.

** Learn To Ride: Cycling Sessions in Bishop's Stortford

Well, they're in luck - Hertford Cycle Hub are taking over Charringtons car park on Friday, 31 May, for Learn to Ride sessions!
Sessions cost £12 each and are available to book in 1-hour slots from 9am until 2pm.
Participants must attend with a bike and helmet, but there are no age limits for the sessions. As long as participants can plant both feet on the ground whilst sitting on their bicycle saddle, they are tall enough to learn how to ride a pedal bike.

** Be Tick Aware
------------------------------------------------------------
Ticks are small, spider-like creatures that feed on the blood of animals and humans. During this feeding process, they can transmit pathogens that can result in infections.
You could be exposed to ticks whenever you spend time outdoors, including when in your garden or the local park. Tick bites can occur on any part of the body and more than one tick can be attached at a time
To avoid infection, it is important to remove ticks safely and as quickly as possible. The safest way to remove a tick is by using a pair of fine-tipped tweezers or a tick removal tool.
If you begin to feel unwell with flu-like symptoms, or develop a spreading circular rash (which usually appears within 1 to 4 weeks after being bitten), you should contact your GP or promptly dial NHS 111.
