Could your community group be eligible for grant funding?
April sees two annual grant schemes open for applications
We’re opening funding streams to support the incredible work volunteers do across our community.
We know that local organisations and charities do a huge amount of good in East Hampshire by helping vulnerable people and providing facilities, services and support.
That’s why we continue to put money aside to fund community groups and the brilliant projects they run that make such a difference to people’s lives.
On Tuesday 2 April, two funding schemes will open for applications:
*Supporting Communities Fund [

A £1million grant pot spread over three years to support community groups and organisations in the district.
*Councillor Community Grant [
]*
Each district councillor is allocated a budget of £3,500 to support a not-for-profit organisation within their ward.
Cllr Adeel Shah, Portfolio Holder for Community Development and Engagement, said: “We know how much work local groups and charities do to help our communities thrive.
“They provide vital support and services that make a huge impact on the lives of people right across the district - and all thanks to the hard work of dedicated and community-spirited people.
“It is so important we continue to support the great work they do in East Hampshire. That’s why we’re still running grants schemes that fund projects even when so many other councils are closing theirs down or cutting them back.
“The Supporting Communities Fund and the Councillor Grants are just two of the schemes we run. There are lots ways we can help the community, make sure you don’t miss out on these opportunities.”

East Hampshire District Council runs a host of grant schemes that could provide funding for your group’s community work. As well as the Supporting Communities Fund and the Councillor Community Grants there are funds available from developer contributions, lottery money and environmental projects.
The different schemes support the council’s various objectives and demand different eligibility criteria.
