It's Election Day!
The Polling Stations are open. Here's everything you need to know to make your vote count, from polling locations to important deadlines

What you need to know for polling day:
*Don’t forget to bring photo ID.*
If you forget to bring your ID. You’ll be asked to return with an accepted form of ID before a ballot paper can be issued.
Don’t worry if your ID is out of date. You can use out of date photo ID if it still looks like you and the name is the same as the one you used when you registered to vote.
*Find your polling station.*
Not sure where your polling station is? There is a tool for that. Click the link below to find your local polling station. Polling stations will be open from 7am – 10pm. If you’re in the queue at 10pm (with accepted photo ID) you will be allowed to vote.

*Lost your photo ID? *
You can apply for an emergency proxy until 5pm on polling day. Your proxy will need to take their own ID to cast your vote.
*Applied for free voter ID? *
If you applied for free voter ID and it hasn’t arrived, get in touch with our Elections Team as soon as possible.
*Acting as a proxy for someone? *
You’ll need to go to their polling station to cast their vote. You’ll also need to bring your own photo ID.
Campaigning on polling day is allowed, as long as it’s not within the perimeter of a polling station building. Expect to see lots of activity from parties and candidates.
*Postal Votes*
If you have yet to post back your postal ballot you can hand the completed pack into the EHDC office by 5pm or at a polling station in your constituency by 10pm. When handing in your postal vote you will be issued with a form that you must complete or your vote will not be counted. Do not leave your vote without speaking to staff or completing this form.
