Aged 40-74? Have you had your NHS Health Check?

An NHS health check is a free check on your cardiovascular health and can spot early signs of diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease or stroke. To find out how you get invited and what happens during an NHS Health check, watch this video

If you've been invited for an NHS Health Check by your GP, do take up the offer and book your appointment with them. If you haven’t heard from your GP, you may be eligible for a community NHS Health Check with LiveWell Dorset. Check your eligibility and find a location near you

Even if you are feeling well right now, these checks are still important to help protect your health in the future.

Our next Let’s Talk: SEND in Dorset online event is coming up on 4 June at 12 pm.

During this session, we’ll delve into the theme of “School Attendance.” Our event features short introductions from our team, including educational psychologists, NHS Dorset representatives, and SEND team members. There will also be ample time for Q&A, so you can share your thoughts and ask questions.

We recognise that school attendance can pose challenges as each child and family's circumstances will be unique. That’s why we’re creating an open dialogue, a chance for a two-way conversation on this important topic.
