Dorset Day

The 1 June marks Dorset Day, an opportunity to celebrate Dorset’s rich heritage and beautiful scenery. We will be raising the familiar yellow and red Flag of Dorset and the County Civic Flag which shows the Coat of Arms at County Hall in Dorchester.

Inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers and innovators

Climate action in Dorset celebrated through new photo exhibition

We were joined by local businesses and community groups last week to launch a new photo exhibition that celebrates the steps organisations are taking to help tackle climate change in the county.

The ‘Our journey to net zero’ exhibition features a collection of inspiring images that tell the stories of local organisations who, with the help of the council’s Low Carbon Dorset programme, are helping reduce the county’s carbon footprint.

Thirteen Dorset based organisations feature in this exciting new exhibition, each telling their own story of how they’re cutting emissions and becoming more sustainable.
