Garden waste collections are changing from April
Residents can now sign up for fortnightly garden waste collections, pausing for just two weeks over Christmas, for an annual charge of £36 per bin.
The new service replaces all previous garden waste collection services.

*Be election ready for May 2 *
The elections are fast approaching, but you can only take part if you are registered to vote.
It's quick and easy to do online [
] - but the deadline is April 16. If you are already registered, you do not need to register again.
* *You need ID if you want to vote at a polling station.* There's more information on our website about acceptable forms of ID including passports and driving licences. [
]
* If you don't have ID, that's not a problem. You just need to *register for a free voter authority certificate* by April 24. It's quick and easy to do online. [
]
* You can also *apply for a postal vote*. It's simple to do online and you don't need ID to vote in this way. [
] The deadline is April 17
* Residents can also *nominate someone to vote on their behalf*, referred to as a proxy vote. Again, you can do this online but it must be done by April 24. [

People can learn new skills and boost their job-hunting power with a range of courses, which have been praised by national inspectors.
The council's adult learning courses have been rated ‘good’ by government Ofsted inspectors.
Courses on offer include floristry, digital, English and maths, photography and many more.
