You'll be getting two poll cards this year!
On May 2 the Police Crime Commissioner elections will also be taking place following a late decision from the Government.
Residents will be receiving a second poll card, adding to the poll card they should have already received for the local elections and West Midlands Mayoral elections, on the same day.
The rules around registration and voter ID are exactly the same for this election.

* *Polling day is May 2*.
* You must be *registered to vote [
] *by midnight on April 16 if you want to vote
* *You must have photo ID* if you want to vote at a polling station. There's a full list of approved forms on our website. [

* If you don't have an acceptable form of ID you can *apply for a free voter authority certificate (VAC)*. That must be done online [
] before 5pm on April 24.
