New Future for Former Rail Training College
A new future for an iconic Doncaster building could be on track.
The former National College for Advanced Transport and Infrastructure (NCATI) site could soon be brought back in use.
Cabinet will hear on August 14 that a new provider is interested in taking over the site in keeping with a Department of Education (DfE) covenant which is in place until 2043 that the building must be used for post-16 education and the development of training and skills.
Back to School Support
Starting a new school or returning to school after the summer can be exciting for families, but also a worrying time.
We’ve created a web page with a range of resources and information to help make the transition back as smooth as possible.
From where to find free or discounted school uniforms and equipment in your area, help with transport, free school meal info, resources for young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), health checks and more.
Check out the web page:
Cleaner, Greener Doncaster
Recently, members of the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides got together to go on a litter pick in their local area with the help of the council’s Street Scene Team, who loaned all the necessary litter picking equipment.
Eight bags of litter were collected in / around Carcroft by these eager volunteers who’d got in touch to see how they could help.
Doncaster Pride 2024
Doncaster Pride is back on this Saturday, 10 August, at Town Field and not only that, we’re this year’s UK Pride host city!
Event-goers can enjoy a day of music, entertainment, activities, stalls and lots more.
