Green Flag success for Great Eight Parks!
City of Doncaster Council is proud to announce that eight of its parks have been successful in receiving a Green Flag Award for 2024.
Town Field, in the heart of the city, is a new winner and joins seven existing sites across the borough in achieving the coveted accreditation.
Cusworth Park, Hexthorpe Park, Elmfield Park, Sandall Park, Quarry Park, Campsall Country Park and Bentley Park have all retained their status. These areas are recognised as well-managed parks and green spaces which set the benchmark for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom.

Cabinet approves the creation of a new Doncaster city centre 25-year masterplan
This week, Cabinet members at City of Doncaster Council have approved the creation of a new city centre masterplan and the submission of proposals to Government for the first three years of Long-Term Plan for Towns (LTPT) funding, which will see an injection of £20m funding to improve Doncaster city centre over the next ten years.
Results of the recent consultation survey, the Big City Conversation, saw over 8000 of you respond with what you think about the city centre and the results will feed into the creation of the masterplan which is due to be completed by the end of 2024.
