Delicious Doncaster Food and Drink Festival returns this weekend!
Join us this weekend for another course of Delicious Doncaster Food and Drink Festival with culinary delights galore, plenty of foodie fun and activities plus celebrity hosts.
The three day extravaganza hosted in Doncaster City Centre will include street food stalls, professional demonstrations and talks, tasting sessions and opportunities to take part in this year’s bake-off competitions
Levi Roots
On Saturday, there'll be a cosy chat with Levi Roots who will share his background and talk about his rise to fame on Dragon's Den with his Reggae Reggae Sauce at the Mansion House.

Tom Surgey
A drinks tasting experience in Doncaster's palatial Mansion House with wine expert Tom Surgey.

Street Food and Entertainment
The street food stalls will be located in and around St Sepulchre Gate, Clock Corner/French Gate Precinct, Baxter Gate and lower High Street with street entertainment also taking place.
There will be a Food Festival entertainment stage based on Clock Corner with a variety of entertainment taking place over the course of the three days.
Doncaster’s Foodie Fortnight will run from 24 May - 7 June and is a celebration of the gastronomic delights available from the restaurants and cafés in the city centre and the wealth of produce from our fabulous fresh food and beverage retailers.

Doncaster residents and visitors are being asked to share their opinions and thoughts on the future of the city centre in a consultation called the ‘Big City Conversation’ and there's still chance to have your say.

Doncaster Park tennis courts reopen after renovation
Tennis courts in Hexthorpe Park and Haslam Park have officially reopened after renovations.
The courts have undergone extensive work to ensure viability for years to come, including resurfacing, repainting, new nets and new gate system at Haslam Park and repainting and new nets at Hexthorpe Park.

Currently, almost one third of Doncaster's waste found in recycle bins cannot be recycled.

D-Day commemorations in Doncaster
Doncaster will be joining national observances to mark the 80th Anniversary of D-Day on Thursday 6 June.
This will include a D-Day 80 Proclamation at 8am outside the Mansion House and in the evening, a beacon lighting at the war memorial in Bennetthorpe at 9.15pm.
Schools across the city are also encouraged to take part. There are D-Day teaching resources available on the BBC Teach website – D-Day Teaching Resources and a Poem for Schools to be read at 11am.
