Local Nature Recovery Strategy
How do we protect South Yorkshire’s nature and environment for generations to come? Through a brand-new Local Nature Recovery Strategy.
And we need you to help us shape this plan.
Please fill in our survey so we can better understand what’s important to you, the residents of our region:
You can find out more about what a Local Nature Recovery Strategy is over on their website.
GCSE Results
Congratulations to all young people receiving their GCSE or Level 2 equivalent results this week!
All young people getting their exam results should be incredibly proud of themselves for reaching this point – and remember that the support and guidance is there to support them taking their next steps whatever their results or direction they want to take.
You can also check out the National Careers service website and dedicated hub, which is a brilliant resource to enable you to take that next step and fulfil your potential.
As result days can be both exciting but also daunting, we wanted to remind all families that if their young ones are feeling worried or anxious about anything to do with their results or next steps, it’s important to reach out to them or their school. You’ll also find a range of support, advice and resources on our Your Life Doncaster website.
Safe Haven out over Bank Holiday Weekend
The ‘Safe Haven’ bus will be in the town centre this weekend from 9pm til 1am on both Saturday and Sunday. The Safe Haven is here if you are out in the evening over the bank holiday weekend and feel as though you need support. There will be Rdash health bus co-ordinators onboard supported by Streetpastors, and other volunteers providing water, tea, coffee, any advice that you may need, and a safe space.
