Love Parks Week 2024
This week we have been celebrating #LoveParksWeek and the best of our green spaces across the City.
From a wide range of sports to relaxing seating areas or puzzle solving trails, Doncaster has you covered.
Regardless of age or location, there is something for everyone close by and [usually] free of charge.
We have also been to eight of our award-winning parks to see them raise their new Green Flags in recognition of the work done by council staff, partners and – most importantly – valued community volunteers.

Could you be a buddy for a child in care?
You could make a real difference to a child in care by volunteering just 2 hours of your time every month.
Buddy volunteer Ryan, says: “A friend told me about the scheme, and I was motivated by the chance to make a positive impact on someone’s life.
“Over the last year, I have formed a great relationship with my young person through sharing memorable experiences like watching football, bowling, and go-karting. It has been incredibly fulfilling.
“I’m thankful I became a buddy. I would urge anyone who can spare a few hours a month and willingness to consider volunteering. The rewards far outweigh any challenges and the differences you can make in someone’s life is immeasurable.”
Could you be a buddy like Ryan?
