Esmee Fairbairn Foundation Announces £1m Youth-Led Creativity Funding Programme
The Youth-Led Creativity programme is focused on work led by and for young people (aged 14 to 30) who have less access to creative programmes or who are underrepresented in arts and culture.
The funding can be used for single or multi-year grants and for project and/or core costs and the maximum limit that can be applied for is £120,000.
A Learning Programme will run alongside the funding and will enable peer support and learning.
Expression of Interest will be accepted until 5pm on 15th March, 2024.
Fund Opens to Drive Innovation in Vocational Education Assessments
The £1 million Assessment Innovation Fund focuses on assessment within vocational education, helping UK adults develop the skills they need to gain and maintain employment.
Window 6 of the Fund is designed to encourage the development of learner-centric and adaptable assessment solutions; harnessing digital technology to create a more inclusive, robust, fairer, and reliable assessment experience.
Two organisations will be awarded up to £150,000 each for large-scale impact projects lasting between 18 and 24 months.
Applications for Window 6 are now open until 9am on 12th March, 2024.
KFC Youth Foundation Accepting Applications for First 2024 Funding Round
The KFC Youth Foundation is offering grants of up to £2,500 to not-for-profit groups to deliver a variety of projects that help young people create firm foundations through early intervention in communities near KFC restaurants.
Applications will be considered from registered charities, registered community interest companies, unincorporated clubs or associations or unregistered charities.
Groups must first submit an online Expression of Interest, including a two-minute video about their organisation, before being invited to submit a full application.
The deadline for application is 11.59pm on 17th March, 2024.
Grow Wild Invites Young People to Apply for £500 for a Nature Project
Grow Wild is once again offering grants of up to £500 to young people aged 14-25 to bring their nature project to life this summer.
Individuals or groups of up to six people can apply for a grant to support an innovative project idea to celebrate why UK native plants and/or fungi are so special.
Voluntary, youth or community groups, education bodies, arts or environmental charities, local authorities, other council bodies or health authorities can apply.
The deadline for applications is 3pm on 19th March, 2024.
Sky and BEO’s F100 Growth Fund to Support Black Entrepreneurs
F100 provides investment and access to supply chains, backed up by expert business advice, coaching and mentoring, to break down the barriers faced by Black British entrepreneurs when setting up and growing their businesses.
F100 will offer funding of up to £15,000 and will support Black entrepreneurs who are looking to bring a business concept to life, have a fledgling business that they want to scale, or have the beginnings of a thriving business. It is open to applicants over the age of 18 who are of Black African, Black Caribbean, Black British and/or Mixed-race descent who resident in the UK.
Applications for the current round of funding are open until 22nd March, 2024.
Comic Relief Offers Funding for Groups Working with Refugees and Asylum Seekers
Comic Relief’s new funding programme, Re-Rooted: Safety and Security for Refugees and Asylum Seekers, is offering grants of up to £200,000 over three to five years.
The programme offers flexible, core funding for organisations that specialise in supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the UK so that they can continue and reinforce the good work of their organisation.
The first step is to submit the online eligibility questionnaire. Those who are successful may then submit a full application.
The deadline for applications is 12pm on 26th March, 2024.
UK Councils Offered Grants to Combat Chewing Gum Pollution
The Chewing Gum Task Force Grant Scheme is open to councils across the UK who wish to clean the gum off the pavements in their local areas and invest in long-term behaviour change to prevent gum from being dropped in the first place.
Councils can apply for grants of up to £27,500 to undertake chewing gum cleansing in streets, town centres, train/bus stations, parks and/or other public spaces.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 28th March, 2024.
Kilburn & Strode Invite UK Charities to Apply for an “Innovation for All” Grant
For a sixth year, the Foundation is making a small number of grants available to registered charities to deliver projects which use innovative and creative solutions to benefit local communities in the UK.
Grants of £10,000, £20,000 and £30,000 are available for activities that meet the Fund’s grantmaking theme of 'Innovation for good' and its objective of 'through innovation, to sustainably provide benefit for those in need'.
Successful applicants will be selected by employee vote.
Applications are now open for the 2024 round with a deadline of 31st March, 2024.
Innovate UK Launches £1m Competition for Accessible Transport Solutions
The aim of this Innovate UK (IUK) competition is to develop an accessible and inclusive focused solution, physical or digital, to support transport users when a journey is disrupted.
A total of £1 million is allocated to this competition. Projects can range in size up to total costs of £250,000.
IUK encourages solutions which can be used across multiple transportation modes or throughout the whole, door-to-door, journey.
The deadline for applications is 11am on 3rd April, 2024.
Impetus Youth Employment Connect Grant
The Youth Employment Grant is provided by Impetus, who work to support young people to prepare for and find work, with a particular focus on young people from ethnic minority backgrounds
A webinar is taking place on 14th March, 2024 at 10am. Applicants can register for the webinar on the Impetus website.
The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on 7th April, 2024.
Barclays Community Football Fund Details 2024
Barclays Bank in partnership with the Sported Foundation is offering grants of up to £1,000 to support delivery of football activities to engage with young people (under the age of 25 years) from underrepresented groups.
The funding is for groups that are running football activities for one or more of the following underrepresented groups: women and girls, young people with disabilities, young people from racially diverse communities, young people from the LGBTQ+ community and young people from lower socio-economic groups.
There will be two funding rounds in 2024.
Applications will close on 12th April, 2024.
Final Round of Museum Estate and Development Fund (MEND)
This is the final round of the Museum Estate and Development Fund (MEND) and there is a total of £23.8 million with grants of between £50,000 and £5 million.
The funding is intended to support museums to achieve the following outcomes:
- Become more financially resilient and environmentally responsible.
- Increase the environmental performance of buildings and equipment to help reduce carbon emissions in the museum sector.
- Improve access for disabled people and accommodate diverse user needs.
- Strengthen contributions to local communities and regeneration by preserving landmark buildings.
Expressions of Interest will close at midday on 18th April, 2024.
Baring Foundation’s New Funding Round Focuses on Creativity for Men with Mental Health Problems
Through its Arts and Mental Health Programme, the Baring Foundation is making available grants of between £20,000 and £50,000 for work seeking to achieve improved or equal representation of men joining mixed-gender creative activities, or for men-only creative projects.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an established arts organisation of any kind (including museums) operating in the UK. This could be a charity or a regulated social enterprise, such as a Community Interest Company.
- Have delivered creative opportunities to people with mental health problems for at least two years.
- Have had an annual income of over £75,000 for the last two years.
Applications are currently being accepted with a deadline 12pm on 23rd April, 2024.
Funding to Support UK and International Collaborative Arts Projects
The British Council is offering grants of between £25,000 and £75,000 for arts and culture organisations to work in partnership with international organisations from selected countries to support arts projects that help artists to make and develop creative artwork and encourage new international partnerships and innovative ways of collaborating.
Priority will be given to partnerships that show clear benefits to artists and international partners and genuine international collaboration.
The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on 30th April, 2024.

Government Announces Extra £3bn for Affordable Homes
The Affordable Homes Guarantee Scheme provides low-cost, flexible and long-term loans to help fund investment in new and existing affordable homes including those for social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership.
Private Registered Social Housing Providers delivering homes in England may apply. The scheme will support proposals that will deliver new-build affordable homes, including those in existing affordable housing grant programmes.
The scheme is open for applications until midnight on 30th April, 2026.
Suez Communities Fund Accepting Applications for Second 2024 Funding Round
Suez Communities Trust is offering grants of between £3,000 and £50,000 for not-for-profit groups to deliver projects that make physical improvements to community facilities, or repair buildings of religious worship or buildings of architectural or historic interest.
Projects must be in communities surrounding a qualifying SUEZ Recycling and Recovery site and must be available and open to the public as a minimum for 4 evenings a week, 2 days a week, or 104 days a year.
There is a two-stage application process. Groups must first submit an online Expression of Interest but be invited to submit a full application.
The next deadline for applications is 15th May, 2024.

Funding for Projects to Improve Financial Wellbeing for Low to Middle Income Individuals
Abrdn Financial Fairness Trust makes around 15 to 20 awards each year to organisations undertaking charitable activities for projects focused on financial wellbeing.
The funding is intended for strategic work, including policy work, campaigning and research that has the potential to improve financial wellbeing for those on low to middle incomes and on a national scale.
Funding can be used for project costs and ongoing costs, including staff salaries and overheads.
The next deadline for outline applications is 1pm on 3rd June, 2024.

Funding to Refurbish Rental Accommodation for UK Veterans with a Housing Need
The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust is delivering the Veterans’ Capital Housing Fund Refurbishment Grants Programme.
The Trust will award grants of up to £75,000 for projects that assist in the refurbishment or extension of rental accommodation that will offer high quality support for veterans with a housing need.
The first deadline for applications is midday on 19th June, 2024.

New National Lottery Heritage Grants Accepting Applications
National Lottery Heritage Grants form part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund's new 10-year strategy, Heritage 2033, that aims to invest £3.6 billion across the UK with grants ranging from £10,000 up to £10 million.
The strategy is centred around a simplified framework of four investment principles:
- Saving heritage.
- Protecting the environment.
- Inclusion, access and participation.
- Organisational sustainability.
Two levels of funding are available:
- Grants from £10,000 to £250,000 for projects of no more than five years in duration.
- Grants from £250,000 to £10 million for projects of no more than five years in duration (excluding the development phase).
Applications are currently being accepted for all levels of funding.

Village Halls in Rural England can Apply Now for a Small Capital Grant
The Village Halls Small Grants Fund is designed to help the volunteers running village halls make easy steps towards capital improvements.
The fund is now open to new applicants who wish to undertake smaller projects such as disability access, toilet upgrades and new kitchens.
Grants of between £2,000 and £5,000 are available to cover 20% of the eligible capital project costs including the VAT.
The funding will support capital improvements only, where projects aim to upgrade, extend, or improve facilities and to purchase capital items.
The fund is open until December 2024, or until available funding is fully allocated.

Funding to Support Disabled Children and Children with Life-Limiting Conditions
The True Colours Trust is offering grants of up to £10,000 for registered charitable organisations to deliver projects that work to improve the lives of disabled children and young people up to the age of 25, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Eligible costs include renovation work, upgrading, and additional equipment for hydrotherapy pools and multi-sensory rooms, minibuses, and specialised play equipment or access to play for disabled children, children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Applications can be submitted at any time.

Kellogg’s School Breakfast Club Grants Programme Reopens for 2024
Kellogg’s, in partnership with Forever Manchester, is offering grants of up to £1,000 to schools across the UK to help fund breakfast clubs aimed at pupils between reception class and year 13 to ensure that those who need it most receive a morning meal.
Only one grant per school in each academic year is available. A limited number of grants are available, and the fund may close at short notice if oversubscribed.
Applications can be submitted at any time.

All Hands on the Don Community Grant Scheme
As part of the All Hands on the Don project, Don Catchment Rivers Trust are delivering a Community Grant Scheme to help bring communities or individuals within a community together, to take action for, or to engage people with the River Don, its tributaries, widlife and heritage.
Minimum grant award of £250 and maximum of up to £3,500.
