Energy Saving Trust’s Carbon Emissions Reduction and Innovation Funds Opens for Summer Round
The Energy Savings Trust is offering grants of between £20,000 and £750,000 to not-for-profit groups for projects that empower householders to reduce their carbon emissions and engage positively with the transition to net zero and for the development of innovative products and services related to energy.
The Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund (CERF) supports initiatives principally aimed at reducing the climate change impact associated with energy use.
The Innovation Fund is aimed at projects that will develop innovative products or services to benefit households.
The application window for Round 8 closes at 5pm on 8th July, 2024.
Islamic Relief UK Accepting Application for 2024 Funding Round
Islamic Relief UK is offering grants of between £1,000 and £40,000 for voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector organisations to deliver projects that support marginalised and vulnerable people and their communities.
Funding can be used to cover project delivery costs, such as staff salaries, room hire, equipment and materials, or organisational and core costs proportional to the size of the project, such as rent, heating, or insurance costs).
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 8th July, 2024.
Freelands Foundation Invites Applications to Inclusive Practices Fund
The Freelands Foundation works with teachers and educators to develop diverse and ambitious approaches to art education.
Grants of up to £25,000 per year are available and can be used for project staffing, materials, participant/artist costs and marketing the project.
Applications will be accepted from visual arts organisations with charitable status. This includes museums, non-commercial galleries, education organisations, and studio providers working in the visual arts.
There is a two stage application process.
The deadline for Expression of Interest is 2pm on 19th July, 2024.
Core Funding for Small Charities with Disadvantaged Families, Prisoners and Ex-Offenders
The Woodward Charitable Trust is offering funding for charitable organisations working in the following areas:
- Children and young people (up to 25 years) who are isolated, at risk of exclusion or involved in antisocial behaviour.
- Disadvantaged families. This covers parenting support and guidance, mental health, food poverty, refuges and domestic violence projects.
- Prisoners and ex-offenders and specifically projects that maintain and develop contact with prisoners' families and help with the rehabilitation and resettlement of prisoners and/or ex-offenders after their release.
The grants are for core costs rather than specific projects and will cover staff salaries, rent, utilities, general office costs, accountancy/audit costs, fundraising, governance and compliance, and costs supporting the core programmes of the organisation.
The current deadline for applications is 12pm on 26th July, 2024.
Rosa’s ‘Stand With Us’ Reopens for 2025 Funding
Rosa has launched the second year of the Stand With Us Fund which is intended to enable organisations to be in a stronger position to survive, thrive and grow by investing in organisational development work such as developing strategy, strengthening governance and leadership, a stronger voice in the women’s movement, creating stronger alliances and partnerships, increasing fundraising, volunteering and activism, demonstrating impact and more effective systems and processes.
Not-for-profit frontline women’s and/or girl’s organisations can apply now for a one-year grant of up to £25,000.
Rosa will hold two ‘How to Apply’ webinars to help applicants develop their applications: 4th July, 2024 (10am to 11am) and 23rd July, 2024 (11am to 12noon).
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 30th July, 2024.
IUK Launches Accelerated Knowledge Scheme for Circular Fashion Projects
Innovate UK (IUK) has announced the launch of its Accelerated Knowledge Transfer (AKT) scheme, aimed at delivering focused interventions that accelerate the progression of innovation projects or concepts, driving forward advancements within the circular fashion industry.
IUK has allocated up to £1 million for this round, contributing towards the total costs of individual projects.
Eligibility criteria for project leadership require the involvement of a UK-registered Higher or Further Education institution, Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) or Catapult.
The deadline for applications is 11am on 31st July, 2024.
Skipton Building Society Foundation Accepting Applications for Autumn Funding
The Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation funding is intended for UK registered charities whose purpose is to:
- Benefit children and adults particularly those living in socially deprived areas, through education to develop core skills and support wellbeing and mental health.
- Benefit the wellbeing and welfare of children and adults by preventing or reducing poverty and homelessness in the community.
- Support the elderly and improve their wellbeing by reducing isolation, helping reduce the effects of Dementia and Alzheimer's and support later life/palliative care.
Grants of up to £6,000 are available.
The next deadline for applications is 31st July, 2024.
Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust Opens for Applications Focused on Food Poverty
The Trust supports registered charities that work with communities in the UK.
Round 3 will accept applications during the month of July for projects that focus on the theme of Food Poverty. Priority will be given to projects that focus on enabling resilience and independence, in particular food education and cooking skills.
Applications will not be accepted from CICs or not-for-profit organisations. The funding cannot be used for capital projects, minibuses or other vehicles.
The application window closes on 31st July, 2024.
DPO Centre Accepting Applications for Charity and Community Fund
DPO Centre is offering grants of up to £10,000 for charities and not-for-profit organisations to access data protection consultancy advice and services to ensure they are run efficiently and remain in compliance with the law.
A total of £150,000 is available across three application periods throughout the year.
Funding can be used for the following available services:
- Information Asset Register and Data Mapping.
- Policy Drafting and Review.
- Impact Assessments and Gap Analysis.
- Data Protection Training.
- Data Sharing and International Transfers.
- Privacy-by-Design.
- Data Protection Readiness.
The next deadline for applications is 1st August, 2024.
Vegan Society Grants Programme
The Vegan Society is offering grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 with an eye to supporting fewer projects but those having a higher impact.
The funding is intended for new and innovative projects which will encourage non-vegans to go vegan and stay vegan.
To be eligible, applicants must be a vegan, a non-profit organisation or individual with a non-profit project.
Applications will be accepted until 1st August, 2024.
GSK Community Health Programme Opens for 2025 Programme
The new GSK Community Health Programme is funded by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in partnership with The King’s Fund and will support up to 15 charities with £10,000 in unrestricted funding plus access to free training and development valued at £3,500.
Small charities that are working, located, and registered in the UK can apply.
Charities will need to demonstrate how their organisation is supporting communities that experience health disadvantage and how their work helps tackle this issue.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 12th August, 2024.
Unrestricted Funding for Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations
Lloyds Bank Foundation invites Deaf and Disabled People's Organisations to apply for unrestricted grants of up to £75,000 over a three year period.
This year’s programme is aimed at registered charities, Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) and Community Interest Companies (CICs). Their organisation will work directly with Deaf and Disabled people over the long term to support them to have more choice and control over their lives, access their rights and entitlements and challenge the barriers they face.
This programme offers organisational development support alongside a three-year grant of £75,000.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 28th August, 2024.
Rewilding Innovation Fund for Second 2024 Funding Round
Rewilding Britain is offering grants of up to £15,000 to help remove barriers to rewilding projects, whether they are at the early planning stage or scaling up a pre-existing project.
Funding can be used to cover costs such as:
- Business plans and strategies.
- Community engagement activities or co-design.
- Feasibility studies.
- Technological innovations.
In this round of funding, priority will be given to projects focused on engaging with young people.
There are typically two funding rounds per year. Applicants must first become a member of the Rewilding Network before submitting a full application.
The next deadline for applications is 30th August, 2024.
Funding for Projects Supporting Those in Need of a Safe and Secure Home
The Leeds Building Society Foundation offers grants to UK registered charities for projects which address one or more of the following themes:
- Financial stress - projects that help with bills or debt stress.
- Security and refuge - projects that support emergency accommodation.
- Quality and suitability of housing.
- Health and wellbeing support for those experiencing homelessness.
Depending on their annual turnover, UK registered charities can apply for:
- Small Grants of between £250 and £1,000. The funding is to be used for projects that support those in need of a safe and secure home.
- Large Grants of between £25,000 and £100,000 and can support new work or existing work and fund core, project and/or capital costs.
The penultimate deadline for applications is 9th September, 2024.
Which? Fund 2024 Opens for Applications
Which?, the UK’s consumer champion, is inviting UK registered charities, universities and not-for-profit Community Interest Companies to apply for a share of the £75,000 being made available for 2024/25.
In this call for applications, the Which? Fund is offering restricted grants to support work aiming to:
- Improve understanding of consumer harms affecting diverse and disadvantaged communities.
- Identify evidence-led, pragmatic solutions to consumer harm.
- Develop partnerships and encourage collaborative working to provide a more powerful voice for all UK consumers.
There is no set minimum or maximum grant.
Applications will be accepted until 5pm on 16th September, 2024.
UK Social Entrepreneurs Invited to Apply for Funding and Mentoring Support
Funding and specialist support are available for UK social entrepreneurs to help them develop as social leaders, and to start up or grow their idea for a social venture.
UnLtd is inviting applications from social entrepreneurs aged 16 and over who are living in the UK and who are the founder of the social business. Depending on the stage of development, UnLtd can offer:
- Funding of up to £8,000 for entrepreneurs who are starting up their venture.
- Funding of up to £18,000 for entrepreneurs who are scaling up their venture.
Priority will be given to social ventures which are tackling inequality and focusing on the most marginalised communities and those with high levels of need.
The deadline for applications is 30th September, 2024.

Funding for Historic Church Interiors and Churchyard Structures
ChurchCare works in partnership with various grant-giving organisations to provide funding to ensure that conservation projects in Anglican churches across England are carried out to a high standard.
Anglian parish churches can apply for the following grants which are now open for application:
- Grants for Books and Manuscripts.
- Grants for Church Plate.
- Grants for Churchyard Structures.
- Grants for Metalwork.
- Grants for Monuments.
- Grants for Textiles.

Grants for Woodwork and Wooden Objects.
The deadline for applications is 14th October, 2024.
Youth Music’s NextGen Fund Offer Support to Aspiring UK Creatives
The NextGen Fund provided by Youth Music is intended help early-stage musicians and wider music adjacent creatives to invest in their own projects and make their ideas happen.
The tenth round of the programme is accepting applications from 18-25 year old creatives (under-30s who identify as d/Deaf or disabled).
Grants of up to £2,500 are available, to support costs linked to training, career development, travel, audience development, marketing, equipment, software and business development.
The deadline for Round 10 applications is 5pm on 15th November, 2024.
Funding for Under-Represented Groups within the LGBT+ Community
This Fund offers grants of up to £25,000 to support user-led LGBT+ organisations who are working with targeted under-represented and under-resourced communities.
There is a total funding pot of £500,000 with grants of between £100 and £25,000 are available for 2024/25.
The funding can support organisational running costs, projects and organisational / leadership development.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis 12pm on 21st November, 2024.
Funding for Community Tree Planting
The International Tree Foundation is offering grants for community-based organisations to deliver tree-planting projects that protect and restore indigenous trees and woodlands, support community engagement in tree planting, and increase awareness of the importance of trees and forests to environmental and human well-being.
Grants are available across two funding streams:
- Grants for community woodland/hedging projects that range from 100 to 25,000 trees planted per year.
- Grants for community orchard projects of up to 30 trees planted per year.
There is a two-stage application process.
The deadline for applications is 12pm on 13th December, 2024.
Major Capital Grants for Veterans Accommodation - Round 3 Now Open
This funding opportunity is for charities and registered social housing providers that support new builds and significant refurbishments, including extensions, of rental accommodation offering high quality support for veterans with a housing need within the UK.
There are two more opportunities to apply for funding which will be awarded in 2025.
Round 3 is now open for Expressions of Interest with a deadline of 12pm on 8th January, 2025.
Funding for Work Raising Awareness of Issues Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Communities Face
The Allen Lane Foundation has announced that it is keen to receive applications that ‘support work that raises awareness of the issues Gypsy and Traveller communities face, and work to combat hate crime, stigma, discrimination and inequalities, including the lack of appropriate accommodation or other service provision’.
Small registered charities, constituted voluntary groups, charitable organisations and Community Interest Companies can apply.
Although the maximum grant available is £15,000 (either as a single grant or spread over two to three years) the average grant size is between £5,000 and £6,000.
Applications can be made at any time. There are no fixed deadlines. Applications received will be considered at the next Trustees’ meeting.
BBC Children in Need Emergency Essential Programme Reopens for Applications
This programme, delivered by Family Fund Business Services, supports children and young people up to and including the age of 17 who are facing exceptionally difficult circumstances with items that meets their most basic needs.
Applications must be completed by a registered referrer who is part of an organisation that is supporting the family or young person and capable of assessing their needs. The referrer’s organisation should also be able to administer and supervise the grant on their behalf.
The support is for children and young people under 18 years of age, who are UK or EU citizens normally resident in the UK, and whose family does not have access to support and insufficient resources to meet the child’s needs.
There are no deadlines. Applications are processed usually within 10 working days.
