With summer in full swing, we know that it can be an expensive time for many. In this newsletter, we want to highlight all of the free events and support available over the school holidays Doncaster.

There are lots of spaces across Doncaster where you can speak to somebody- whether that be about managing debt, heating your home or just having a chat and a cup of tea.
Summer Staycation is back!
Summer is a time for everyone - and Staycation is making a comeback thanks to the support from the Mayor’s fund.
We have an exciting line-up of activities to keep the kids entertained throughout the school holidays. From primary school children to post-16, there's something for everyone – whether it's football camps, arts and crafts, or even mystery trails, you’ll find something for your child or young person!
Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme
The HAF programme is designed to provide free healthy food & enriching activities for primary and secondary school aged children who receive benefits-related free school meals. Find out if you are eligible by clicking the button below:

Looking for Support with Childcare?
Do you know about the changes to childcare funding for all working parents/carers or parents/carers looking to return to work?
Applications are now open to register to access 15 hours of government-funded childcare a week!

Help for your family webhub
The school holidays can be a really exciting time for families, but for some it can be quite daunting having several weeks without support from their school.
Our Help For Your Family webhub hosts all you may need, not only during the summer months but all year round, to support and help your family.
From how to manage difficult behaviour, advice about keeping your child safe online, supporting children during changes in their life and all the necessary Special Educational Need/ Disability (SEND) support - everything is all in useful place.
Household Support Fund Extended
If you need support with the cost of living, you may be eligible for the Household Support Fund.
The fund supports working age, family, and pensioner households with the cost of essentials.

Prep for Winter: Service Your Boiler
It may be finally getting warmer, but the summer is a great time to think about getting your boiler serviced, giving you peace of mind that it will be there for you when winter hits later this year.
Make sure to find a gas safe registered engineer and Trustmark tradesman to service your boiler. Gas boilers and fires that aren’t regularly serviced could increase risks of carbon monoxide poisoning, find out more to stay safe.
Now is also a great time to check you are claiming all the help you are entitled to – speak to your Doncaster citizens advice. You can also check to see if you are eligible for government funded grants, including insulation schemes, to help keep your home warm.
Free GP Drop-Ins
The FREE 'Vincent Van Cough' Health Van offers drop-in GP clinics at different sites across Doncaster.
If you have a minor ailment or illness that’s been troubling you and 'Vincent' is in the neighbourhood, pop down and have a chat with a local healthcare professional.
Our Health Bus Service makes stops in communities so that everyone, regardless of whether you’re registered with a local GP practice or not, can access high quality healthcare. The Health Bus is staffed by GPs, nurses and other healthcare staff who work locally in Doncaster.
