[Extended free parking for Dales households]
A free parking initiative for Derbyshire Dales residents is to be extended by an hour - meaning local people can park without charge for 20 hours every day of the year.

[100% council tax premium on second homes]
Your District Council has approved a 100% council tax premium from 1 April 2025 for properties that are classed as second homes.
This means if you own a property that is not treated as your main home, and the dwelling is substantially furnished, you will be charged double council tax. [Read more>>]

[2.99% Council Tax increase approved unanimously]
Councillors across the political spectrum unanimously approved a below-inflation 2.99% increase in the District Council's share of Council Tax in the coming year at our annual Budget Meeting on Thursday night.
That's an average of 13p extra a week for a Band D Council Tax payer to maintain current service levels.
Although the District Council collects Council Tax from you, we only spend 11% of it. [Read more>>]

The Great British Spring Clean returns on Friday 15th March to Sunday 31st March.
