A reminder that local people are being invited to have their say in our Traveller sites consultation which will run until 22 September.
The proposed temporary sites we are consulting on are:
- Car Park, Old Station Close, Rowsley
- Land to south-east of Hopton Works, Middleton Road, Wirksworth, also known as land on the south-west side of Middleton Road, Wirksworth
- Arc Leisure Car Parks, Morledge, Matlock
- Station Yard Car Park, Dale Road, Matlock Bath
- Car Park, Derwent Way, Matlock
- Land to north-west of Cemetery, New Road, Middleton.

[Applications invited for historic Matlock grant]

Worthy causes in the Matlock area are being invited to apply to Derbyshire Dales District Council for funds from the historic Ernest Bailey Charity.
The District Council is Trustee of the charity, which makes an annual grant from interest on a fund set up by local benefactor Ernest H. Bailey. [**Read more >>**]

[Free tennis for people living with diabetes]

Free beginners' tennis courses for local people living with diabetes are being offered at Derbyshire Dales District Council's Matlock Hall Leys Park courts.
The six-week courses on Sundays and Wednesdays from the start of September have been prompted by the Lawn Tennis Association in Derbyshire, which has provided training to raise awareness of people with diabetes playing tennis. [**Read more>>**]
