We previously sent out an image showing Kara Hayward, instead of Francesca Hayward. Please accept our apologies and see an image below of Francesca looking most elegant in Romeo & Juliet at The Royal Ballet.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we have compiled a list of inspirational female dancers who are shaping the world of dance.

Shirley Ballas
Shirley is more than a judge on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing – she is a celebrated Ballroom and Latin dancer who has competed internationally. She remains the only person to have won the British Open to the World Latin American Championships in Blackpool and is the youngest ever female to reach the British Open to the World Dance Championship Finals.
