Education Health and Care Needs Assessment Pilot Feedback
Feedback
Following feedback from stakeholders around the issues they faced when completing Early Help referrals for EHC needs assessments, the SEND team have launched a pilot to remove SEND from the Early Help process. The SEND EHCNA paperwork has been available to use since January this year:
Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment - 5+ [
]
Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment - Early Years [
]
Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment - Parent/Carers/Young People Aged 16+ [
]
Specialist Input Request Form [
]
A considerable number of settings have trialled the new EHC Needs Assessment paperwork. We are about to begin the evaluation of the pilot and need your feedback. Could you please complete this short survey (it only takes a few minutes). If you haven’t yet used the paperwork, you can view it on the links above and let us know your thoughts by way of the survey:
[
]
Survey closes 24th May 2024.

Inclusion and Wellbeing
This blog from Famly explores how co-regulation helps children handle emotional distress. Before children can self-regulate, co-regulation helps build up their soothing strategies. Mike Huber explores the concept of co-regulations in early education, and how it can help you support children's emotional development and well being.
