July is Disability Pride Month. One in five people in the UK live with a disability and the month reminds us about the wide range of abilities, needs and abilities that exist within the disabled community.
This short clip by Emily explains the importance for all of us to learn about disability and work together for greater inclusivity - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQX9FBU-Y9A
With the Paralympic Games due to start in London on 28th August, after the Olympic Games, we are sure that there will be lots of opportunities for children to celebrate the amazing things that athletes with a disability will achieve!

Pinc has launched the “Big Cumbrian LGBTQI+ Survey” to gather the experiences of LGBTQI+ individuals in Cumbria. This survey aims to highlight the challenges faced in areas such as healthcare, education, and employment, as well as identify gaps in current services. The survey is both anonymous and confidential, taking just 10 minutes to complete. We encourage as many LGBTQI+ residents of Cumbria as possible to participate. The collected insights will help pinpoint areas in need of funding or development, address challenges and discrimination, and advocate for increased support and inclusion. Ultimately, the findings will drive the improvement and development of future services in Cumbria, benefiting numerous organisations and the community as a whole. https://lnkd.in/eWuaYUvE
