Important briefing- Reassurance and support during these challenging times
Dear Colleagues
We are all aware of the ongoing unrest in the country at present and the anxiety that this is causing. Cumberland Council are working closely with multi-agency partners to monitor the situation locally, including the Police and health authorities, to ensure the safety and security of everyone.
Cumbria Police have asked us to share the following message:
"If you encounter or hear of any incidents of racially motivated hatred, online or in person or any communication that encourages others to incite violence towards another cultural group Cumbria Police need to be informed immediately. You can do this by calling 101 or emailing ""101emails@cumbria.police.uk" " - stating 'protest intel' and providing as much detail as you possibly can. You can remain anonymous if you would prefer."
