Summer fun – June
6 June
D-Day beacon lighting, Tilgate Park main car park
Join us from 8pm to 9.30pm us for a special commemoration as we light the beacon to honour the memory of those who bravely served on D-Day, marking its 80th anniversary. Music, lighting of the beacon and speeches. No need to book in advance.
8 June
Taste of the Caribbean, Goffs Park
The Caribbean food and drink festival is a celebration of different cultures and amazing cuisines. Its aim is to introduce people of all backgrounds, ages, races, and religions to some of the most amazing food and drink in the world.
The event consists of multiple street food traders selling hot food, desserts, take home produce, cultural crafts as well as non-food products. Entertainment consists of live music, cooking demonstrations, eating competitions, funfair rides and activities for children.

The Crawley Family Bike Ride, from Oriel High School
Meet at the school for 10am and travel along the Worth Way at a comfortable talking pace on the shared-use former railway line to East Grinstead. With time to stretch your legs and some refreshments before heading back to the school around 3pm.
16 June
This Is My Theatre's The Wizard of Oz, The Walled Garden, Tilgate Park
This is an open-air show being performed in the Walled Garden. Please bring your own chair and remember – dogs are not permitted within the Walled Garden. Running time, 90 minutes.

Fathom online game and live event
Crawley's pop-up programme is trialling a durational online game that turns into a live event in which the participants meet. In ‘Fathom’ by Goat & Monkey, players will follow the futures of two characters over two week, helping them make choices and devising and enacting creative tasks following them towards their mystery town centre location.

Make Music Day, town centre

Armed Forces Day, Memorial Gardens
A fun event for all the family, supporting the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to service families, veterans and cadets, with parades, musical performances and more.
