💡 T Level Employer Event
📅 15 May 2024 ⌚ 16:00 - 18:00 📍 Bournemouth & Poole College, Poole Campus

Bournemouth and Poole College are excited to announce a T Level Information Event designed specifically for local businesses to discover the numerous benefits and opportunities associated with the new T Level qualifications. These innovative courses are tailored to meet the needs of industry and prepare students for the workforce by combining classroom learning with on-the-job experience.
 
The college currently offers T Levels in the following areas:
  • Business: Management and Administration - Business Support
  • Digital Production, Design and Development
  • Digital Support Services
  • Media
  • Maintenance Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Education and Early Years
  • Health
Whether you are new to T Levels or would like to expand your knowledge, the event will ensure you gain valuable insights into how T Levels can serve as a vital resource for developing future talent tailored to your industry needs. The event will also offer a platform for networking with educators and industry partners, understanding the structure of work placements, and how your business can engage directly with these programs.

Forged @ FOUNDRY is a programme designed to inspire and support the next generation of exciting young entrepreneurs. The programme is currently overseeing an exciting Business Plan Challenge.

With access to a £9,000 cash fund, potential desk and office space at FOUNDRY in Poole, exhibition space and market stalls within The Dolphin Centre and business mentoring available too, this is a huge opportunity offering new businesses a really useful head start on their journey.

If you’re a student, a recent graduate from any UK college or university, or an alumnus from the past three years, with a current address within the BH postcode region, and you have the right permissions to set up a business in the UK, then you’re eligible.

👩‍💻 ED Team visit FOUNDRY in Poole
The Economic Development (ED) team at BCP Council visited FOUNDRY in Poole for an exclusive preview and tour of the brand new co-working space that will soon be welcoming startup and established businesses, freelancers and networkers.
Adam Walker, founder, said: "FOUNDRY will be offering the Poole business community a platform to meet clients, contacts and build connections. Great to show the BCP ED team around and give them a sneak peak of our private offices, dedicated desks, meeting rooms and boutique members work lounge".

📢 Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC) new CEO
Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC) are pleased to announce that Captain Brian Murphy will be taking over as CEO of PHC from Jim Stewart on 1^st July 2023. Brian has been with the organisation since 2004. He was appointed as Harbour Master in 2008 and was given the extra responsibility of Marine & Port Director in 2018.
