Summer holiday supermarket vouchers are back!

The UK Government is continuing to provide food support during the summer holiday under the Household Support Fund.

BCP Council Family Information Service can provide a £90 food voucher for eligible pre-school age children living in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole. 

To be eligible for a voucher, children must be aged 0 to five, have not yet started school, live in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and currently meet at least one of the following criteria:

👉🏽 your child is attending and receiving 2 year old funding under the receiving certain benefits criteria at an early years setting in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole in the summer term
👉🏽 your child is attending and receiving three and four year old funding at an early years setting in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole in the summer term and currently in receipt of Early Years Pupil Premium funding. Please note: this is not the early education funding to which all three and four year olds are entitled and there are certain criteria which you will need meet.
👉🏽 currently have an open case with social worker and / or early help family support worker and of pre-school age.

📌 The application form closes at 11pm on Sunday 1 September 2024.

If you received food vouchers for the May half term holiday and have not received an email advising that you are still eligible, please contact the Family Information Service on 01202 093131 to discuss, rather than complete the application form. It may mean that your child is no longer eligible under that criteria, and the team will advise of alternative solutions / actions.

Vouchers for school aged children will be issued directly by the school.

💡 Ridgewater Energy provides advice and assistance to any of our residents in fuel poverty. They can assess your eligibility for various schemes and grants, and can help you with expert energy saving advice to help lower your energy bills, insulation grants and free energy saving products.

Warm welcome spaces - find friendly, welcome spaces in your local community where you can meet others, take part in activities, get a warm drink or meal, find out about cost of living support services or spend some quiet time away from your home. We have produced a map of local welcome spaces, including places of worship, community centres, libraries and cafes.
