✈️ Bournemouth Air Festival - the countdown is on!
The countdown is on for the start of Bournemouth Air Festival 2024, as an exciting line up of aerobatics and new entertainment is announced.
Bournemouth Air Festival attracts more than 400,000 visitors every year who come to enjoy the aerial acrobatics, ground entertainment, displays, fun fair and much more across the region's award-winning beaches.
New entertainment at this year’s event includes two Swedish Historic fighter jets – the Saab Viggen and Saab Draken,who will make their inaugural festival appearance alongside the Red Devils Army Parachute Display Team!

Donate to support future events
Alongside purchasing the official programme, you can donate towards future leisure, community and culture activities. You can also donate in person at eight selected seafront kiosks throughout the duration of the festival. Thank you for your support!

🎉 GCSE National Results Day
GCSE exam grades were awarded to more than 4,000 Year 11 pupils from Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole's secondary schools on Thursday 22 August.

🥇 BCP Council congratulates Olympic medallists
The Leader of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council has paid tribute to local Olympic heroes following their stunning medal success in Paris.
Bryony Page (pictured above), who trained at Poole Gymnastics and Trampolining Club, took home gold in the women’s trampolining.
Ellie Aldridge from Poole became the first ever Olympic gold medallist for kitesurfing.
Emma Wilson from Christchurch was awarded a bronze medal for windsurfing and Matt Aldridge from Christchurch was part of the men's four crew rowing team which took home bronze.
Plans are now being discussed to arrange a formal celebration of our athletes' Olympic and Paralympic achievements following the Paralympic Games. Find out more below.

We're asking anyone with a connection to the area to have your say on a proposed Neighbourhood Forum and Area Designation Consultation.
This follows an application by East Cliff and Springbourne Residents’ Group to establish itself as a designated Neighbourhood Forum.
If approved, the Forum will be able to exercise neighbourhood planning powers - giving the community direct power to shape the development of their local area.
To share your views, complete our short survey below. Consultation closes at midnight Monday 7 October 2024.
