Could you ask #Ask1Person about fostering?

There are over 900 children across West Sussex who need a safe and loving home. Could you consider becoming a Foster Carer yourself, or start conversations with family and friends? The many types of care include respite (usually one weekend a month) and Supported Lodgings (helping a 16- to 24-year-old prepare for independent living). In return, Foster Carers for WSCC receive ongoing training and support, and a financial package of up to £30,393 a year (per child). Find out more

Changing Places toilets

We now have four fully accessible toilets in the district, specifically designed to meet the needs of disabled children and adults with complex care needs. The facilities in Midhurst, Selsey and Bracklesham are the result of a funding bid to the UK Government and are in addition to the facility at Northgate car park in Chichester. The facilities are all equipped with specialist equipment and can be accessed by a RADAR key. You can also access a map of Changing Places facilities across the country to help you plan a journey.
