Clean Air Day - 20 June
Show the air you care
Next Thursday (20 June) is Clean Air Day – the UK’s biggest initiative to reduce air pollution, providing opportunities to raise awareness and act towards improving the air quality for a healthier environment.
Air pollution is the largest environmental health risk to public health, so marking this day and encouraging others to do the same is important to all of us at Cheshire East.
Clean Air Day is being driven by Global Action Plan – an environmental charity working towards a green and thriving planet.
We are encouraging as many people as possible to participate this year, so please note the date and think about how you could get involved to support this special day in the calendar and ‘show the air you care’.
The council’s web pages have more information about air quality [
] and you can also find out more about Clean Air Day on the campaign website [
].
Whatever you are doing – you will be making a positive difference
