Meeting rooms for hire

Did you know that several of our libraries have meeting rooms available to hire?
So, if you're looking for space to hold a meeting or run an activity, we just might be able to help.
How much space do you need?
Our meeting rooms vary in capacity.

Meeting rooms are banded from A to C, depending on their capacity and facilities:
* Band A is our largest room, the Cheshire Suite at Macclesfield Library.
* Band B meeting rooms at Alsager, Congleton, Holmes Chapel, Macclesfield, Sandbach and Wilmslow have a dedicated kitchen area and equipment such as a projection screen.
* Band C meeting rooms at Handforth and Nantwich are smaller spaces with less equipment.
Tables and chairs are provided, and all our meeting rooms are DDA compliant and have toilets with disabled access.
Starting from a very competitive £10 per hour, room hire charge vary by band and whether the booking is out of hours. We give a discount of 15% for block bookings of 6 or more meetings paid in advance.

The Cheshire Suite
Cheshire Suite
If you're looking for a larger space, Macclesfield Library has two band B meeting rooms that can be hired separately or combined into the Cheshire Suite.
The Cheshire Suite is ideal for holding training courses, exercise classes, workshops, or other larger group activities. The raked seating can be pulled out or stacked away if more floor space is needed.
History Wardrobe at Macclesfield
It makes a great performance space too, and we've hosted a range of theatre and music performances. Perhaps you were lucky enough to see History Wardrobe's sell-out show 'Monday is Wash Day' earlier this month?

Wilmslow Library also has two band B rooms to choose from, accommodating up to 30 or 50 people.

Macclesfield IT Suite
Macclesfield IT Suite
If you need to hire a room with ICT equipment, Macclesfield Library has an IT Suite with 10 laptops. These have WiFi internet access and access to Microsoft Office.
There is an hourly hire charge and a small charge for any printing.

In case you're wondering whether one of our rooms would suit your needs, here are a few of the reasons why community organisations and individuals book our meeting rooms:

* coffee mornings
* exercise classes
* events
* exhibitions
* lifelong learning classes
* meetings
* work hubs
* writing and craft workshops
Rooms can be booked for a one-off event, or on a more regular basis. For instance, we currently host recurring Tiny Talk, baby signing, lip reading, Widows, and local horticultural and family history society meetings. Not to mention the popular annual Charity Christmas Card shops.
