*Free activity places this Easter*
Young girl in a field of daffodils on an easter egg hunt
Working together with local schools, childcare providers and community and voluntary organisations, we are offering thousands of free activities over the Easter school holidays for children receiving free school meals.
The free places are funded by the Department for Education, as part of the government’s Holiday Activity and Food Fund programme [
], which has successfully been run across Cheshire East during Easter, summer and winter holidays since 2021. They include sessions for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and include a nutritious meal each day.
There are also limited spaces available to support children and young people who don’t receive income related free school meals but would benefit from the scheme.
You can read the full information on our website [
].

Cheshire East Council has been awarded funding from the Government’s Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Fund, which supports local authorities in England to plan and deliver charging infrastructure for residents without off-street parking.
We expect to start installing new charging points – in both urban and more rural areas of the borough – in 2025.
