'Home from Hospital Good Neighbour' programme
Home from Hospital volunteer
We are seeking kind and compassionate people to join our 'Home from Hospital Good Neighbour' programme.
This new initiative, in collaboration with the Community for Voluntary Service Cheshire East, aims to provide practical support and friendly companionship to those recovering at home after a hospital stay.
If you volunteer to be a 'Home from Hospital Good Neighbour', you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing assistance to ensure you feel confident in your role, which will involve assisting with tasks such as grocery shopping, pet care, preparing meals, or simply checking in for a friendly chat.
To register your interest and for more information, email: volunteersupport@cheshireeast.gov.uk or phone Helena Smith or Alex Major on 01625 374050

Could you foster?
Fostering - Lee and Vicky
We have a fantastic network of foster carers across the borough – and during Foster Care Fortnight, you may have seen some of their 'Fostering Moments’ that have been shared on our social media channels.
There’s always a need for more dedicated individuals to join our fostering community - and there's lots of different ways to foster. We'll support you all the way.
Could you be the next person to make a world of difference to a child or young person?

*Women's Tour of Britain heads into Cheshire East*
Women's Tour of Britain
It’s official – the women’s Tour of Britain race is coming to Cheshire East!
On Saturday 8 June, the third stage of the four-stage race, which starts and ends in Warrington, will predominantly take place in the borough.
The peloton will have amassed more than 280km and 3,800m of climbing in the opening two days of racing in Wales before crossing the border to arrive in Warrington for day three, as Cheshire prepares to host the world’s best riders and teams for the third day of the competition.
As the flattest of the four stages, the crowds lining the route are expected to see the first bunch sprint finish of the 2024 tour and incredible speeds as riders do battle on day three for 107km.
If you're ready to embrace the occasion and get out to support these incredible athletes, you can read information on our website using the link below.
