*A-Levels*
Students reading exam results
We are delighted to see some fantastic results for A-level students in Cheshire East, who have once again achieved impressive results that are above the national average.
The borough’s students received their results this morning, showing that, collectively, they achieved a provisional pass rate of 98.4 per cent1, which is above the national average of 97.2 per cent.
The further breakdown of grades shows that the proportion of students achieving grades A* to A was 24.7 per cent and well over half (51.4 per cent) achieved an A* to B grade.
The results mean that many have secured the university place of their choice.
Following results day young people and their families can access local mental health and wellbeing support [
] on our website, or access useful guidance to help them to decide on next steps within their career on the jobs and skills section [
].

The prestigious Green Flag awards are made each year by the charity Keep Britain Tidy and are an international quality ‘kitemark’ for parks, green spaces and beaches - and a benchmark standard for the management of green spaces in the UK and around the world.

Re-purposing of children's centres
We are looking to re-purpose up to seven of our remaining children's centre buildings and further develop our family hub outreach offer. This proposal will help achieve our savings target while offering a service that improves the reach and support to the most disadvantaged communities and removes the barriers some families face in accessing the current children's centres.
