Chelmsford Takeover returns
Del Boy's van
On *Saturday 13 April* the popular Chelmsford Takeover returns to Chelmsford High Street! The cosplay event will see the city centre filled with heroes, characters and show cars from TV, film, and comics. Organised by Chelmsford For You and Essex Cosplayers, this year’s takeover is set to include a Jurassic zone, Dr Who zone, and Star Wars droids. Plus, there'll be a gaming bus, face painting, superhero cape making and a costume competition! The day is in aid of Little Havens Hospice, with activities running across the city centre from 10am to 4pm. The full programme and map can be found on the Chelmsford For You website.

Countdown to RideLondon-Essex

It’s just *50 days* until RideLondon-Essex *2024* this Saturday. There’s still time to sign up to take part in one of three challenges happening on *Sunday 26 May*, with routes of 100, 60 and 30 miles. There is a *full closure* planned of the A12 northbound carriageway between junctions 12 (Brentwood) and 15 (Chelmsford, Three Mile Hill) from *9pm **tonight*,* Friday 5 April**,* until* 5am* on *Monday 8 April 2024**.* The southbound carriageway will remain open during this period.
