Women's Safety focus groups 1Have your say
*Drop-in sessions with our community safety team*
Join members of the Safer Chelmsford Partnership on *Friday 15 March at* *Chelmsford Theatre café * to discuss women’s safety in the district. Have a hot drink on us while sharing your thoughts and concerns.
Officers from the council's community safety team will provide updates on current projects and Sergeant Matt Collins, from Chelmsford's community policing team, will share the latest VAWG statistics for the district.
You will have the opportunity to *visit our CCTV control room*, to better understand how operators work with local police and other council officers to protect people.
You will also be invited to view a short film, currently in development, focused on how to safely intervene if you witness inappropriate or threatening behaviour.
There will be two drop-in sessions: *5.30–6.30pm* and *7.30–8.30pm*.
Everyone is welcome, whether you live or work in the district, or just visit now and then. The event is not exclusive to women; while women's safety will be the topic throughout the evening, all genders are welcome to join the discussion.
*Please stop by and have your say!*
*Let us know you're coming*
The topic is safety 1
These sessions are about all things safety. We'll let you know what we've been working on, and you can tell us about your experiences, expectations and concerns.
CCTV control room
Visit the council's CCTV control room and learn more about how members of the Safer Chelmsford Partnership work together to keep people safe across the district.
Women's Safety training
Hear updates on our Women's Safety Charter, share your experience of its Safe Spaces, and get a first-look at the next instalment of the Women's Safety in Our City campaign.
Chelmsford women
We encourage you to be open and honest during these sessions. If you'd prefer to share your views privately, away from the group, there will be an opportunity to do so.
Can't make it on 15 March? You can still talk to us!
