As we approach the final weeks of summer, there's still time for your kids to dive into our nature-themed events at Chelmsford Museum!
From discovering the wonders of nature with our Becoming a Nature Watcher sessions to getting creative with Nature Inspired Printing, we have plenty of exciting activities left to explore.
Becoming a Nature Watcher
14 to 16 August and 21 to 23 August
10.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4pm
Kids are invited to observe and record the nature around them. Inspired by the Victorians, they'll create their own nature book to identify plants, view real nature samples from Hylands Park, and make nature prints using cyanotype paper. They'll also learn to identify trees and plants they see every day.

Nature Inspired Printing
28 to 30 August
10.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4pm
Drop in and play with recycled materials and paint to create your nature inspired print. We’ll have some of our nature themed art collection for you to be inspired by or look out the window into the park for ideas - this may get messy!
This is a free activity and there's no need to book - just drop in to the Wells Suite on the first floor.
