Council links up with Loughborough University to run a Plans Committee for students

We recently held a mock plans committee as part of a joint project to inspire and support the next generation of planning officers.
The Council has been working with planning consultancy Marrons and law firm Shakespeare Martineau to help third year students on the Urban Planning BSc/MPlan course at Loughborough University learn about the planning application process.
Students were split into three groups and were tasked with taking on the roles of the applicant, objectors and the Local Planning Authority.
