We're updating our Children and Young People's Plan

We've launched three surveys - take part before the closing date of 8 September 2024

We are updating our Children and Young People's Plan, and we're seeking feedback from children, young people, parents, carers and professionals who work with children.

The current Children and Young People's Plan runs from 2022 to 2025, and we're beginning work to update the plan for 2025 to 2028.

As part of this, we have launched three questionnaires: one for children and young people, one for parents and carers and a third for professionals who work with children. We want to find out what is important to children and young people and what support they might need, and whether the current priorities in the plan are still fit for purpose or should change.

We are seeing feedback ahead of Sunday 8 September 2024, when the surveys will close.

We will use feedback to develop a draft of the 2025-28 Children and Young People's Plan. When that's complete, likely to be in the winter, we will hold a consultation to gather further feedback.

What is the Children and Young People's Plan?

It runs until 2025, and we're beginning to update it

Our plan outlines five priorities to ensure that every child in Central Bedfordshire has the best possible start to life and explains how services work together to support young people to have high aspirations and reach their goals. 

To update the plan we're working closely with Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), East London Foundation Trust (ELFT), Cambridgeshire Community Services (CCS), SNAP Parent Carer Forum and Bedfordshire Police.
