Story Search Podcast: a celebration of arts and culture in Central Bedfordshire

Story Search podcast: Ampthill episode

A captivating new podcast series celebrating the rich arts and cultural heritage of Central Bedfordshire is now live and the second episode focuses on Ampthill.

Story Search unearths compelling stories from the heart of local communities and episode 2 explores the frenzied international treasure hunt following the publication of the infamous book Masquerade by local author Kit Williams. Hosts Cassandra Philip and Kayte Judge from the council’s Culture and Engagement team discuss the significance of the publication to the local Ampthill area and interview Ampthill Library Manager Amy Warner, Culture & Engagement Officer Liz Roberts, local Creative Practitioner Ross Bolwell-Williams, as well as local resident and official Town Crier of Ampthill, Kelvin Horton. Original music composed and produced by local talent, James Junior.

The podcast series will consist of six episodes, each shining a spotlight on a different area within Central Bedfordshire: Dunstable, Ampthill, Toddington, Leighton Buzzard, Sandy, and Biggleswade. The Dunstable episode launched on 15 March and delved into the legendary California Ballroom.
