Impact Mental Health Peer Support works in partnership with Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy to deliver mental health support programmes for Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough residents.
All courses are free and are delivered by a team of people with professional and lived experience of mental health and life challenges.
You don’t have to have a mental health diagnosis to benefit from attending one of Impact's courses. Many people who attend are dealing with a variety of issues and life challenges, such as:
- depression
- anxiety
- bereavement
- menopause
- relationship problems
- stress at home and/or work
- unemployment
- loneliness
- post COVID issues

Who is it for?
For anyone suffering from anxiety, depression, grief, stress or any other mental health issues who are unable to attend one of our daytime courses.

Through education, discussions and support to enable empowering change.

It’s relaxed, and it helps build mental resilience, self-confidence, self-compassion as well as game-changing wellbeing practices you need to put you back in control of your health, and your future
It’s free to residents of Central Bedfordshire and Bedford.
When do the courses run?
They run over 2 evenings from 6.30pm to 9.30pm and are held on a Tuesday and a Wednesday evening.

YOU Programme - March 2024
The YOU Programme can be the most important first step to feeling better, improving your mental health and wellbeing and getting your life back on track through supporting education and peer empowerment.
The one-day a week programme, held over four weeks, teaches people how to manage and reduce negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours, using a wide range of self-management models, tried and tested theories and wellbeing recovery tools.
Unlock Menopause - April 2024
The Unlock Menopause course has been designed to empower, enable and educate those who want to better understand and manage symptoms of perimenopause and menopause.
