Consultation for Enhanced Resource Provision (ERP) for autistic children and young people at Stratton Upper School

Have your say

Stratton Upper School has launched an important consultation that could directly impact our school community, proposing the establishment of an Enhanced Resource Provision (ERP) for autistic children and young people.

This initiative, which would meet the need for SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) school places in Central Bedfordshire identified in our Special School Places Plan, represents a move towards fostering inclusivity and providing tailored support for students with autism within the secondary school community.

Alongside Stratton Upper School’s transition to a secondary school from September 2024, as part of the Three to Two Tier Programme, the ERP will offer specialised support, classroom spaces, and resources tailored to the unique needs of autistic children, providing them with opportunities to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within this setting and integrating into the mainstream school.

With a focus on inclusive practices and collaboration, the aim is to create an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Your feedback will help shape the future of the Stratton Upper School community and ensure that it continues to provide the best possible education for all students.

If you are a parent, caregiver, educator or member of the community, Stratton Upper School are seeking your insights, feedback, and suggestions to ensure that the establishment of the ERP aligns with the diverse needs of its students and reflects its commitment to providing high-quality education for all.

You can provide your feedback by emailing the school at office@stratton.school before the consultation closes on March 24.

For more information, go to the Stratton Upper School website.
