Library System Update: services unavailable between 29 June and 8 July
Buckinghamshire Libraries and other library authorities in the SELMS consortium (
) are currently undergoing a library system update. This means that some services will be temporarily unavailable for a few days while the work is completed.
If you are visiting a Buckinghamshire library between Sunday 30 June and Monday 8 July, you will need to bring your library card to access some library services as our staff will be unable to access your account information.
As you may have seen on our website, placing new reservations is not currently possible due to the work taking place. This includes Buckinghamshire reservations and SELMS reservations.
From Saturday 29 June to Monday 8 July, we will not be able to send notices about expired loans, reservations for collection, expired accounts, or PIN resets. If you receive a notice to collect a reservation before Saturday 29 June, you can still collect this from your chosen library.
From Sunday 30 June to Monday 8 July, the following services will be unavailable:
the online library catalogueaccess to your library accountthe Spydus Mobile appthe automated telephone renewals linepaying off fines
During this time, there may be some disruptions when accessing our digital library resources like BorrowBox, PressReader and Libby. We suggest that you log in or register to the services before the downtime so you can continue to access and borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital newspapers and magazines.
Buckinghamshire libraries will remain open during the system update, and services such as borrowing and returning items, joining the library, printing/copying/scanning and using computers, Hublets and free Wi-Fi will still be available.
Once our system is updated, we will begin restoring services but please be aware that this could take some time as we ensure everything is working as it should. To get the latest updates, please visit our Library System Update page (
