Supporting International Women’s Day

image

Broxtowe Women’s Project are an incredible local group that inspire inclusion. This International Women’s Day, we are showing our support by showcasing their amazing work.

They have organised an event to showcase the creativity of survivors and hear their voices in a food and fashion fusion! This year, they are hosting an exhibition of mannequins dressed by survivors and partners to encourage expression from a variety of perspectives across our community.

The project has been supporting those impacted by domestic abuse since January 2001. Whether it’s through their outreach service and wellbeing programmes or projects like their White Ribbon Art and Poetry Exhibition which was created by survivors of domestic abuse and displayed at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum, they have been a pillar of our community.

This project is supported by UKSPF and Communities Funding.
