Last chance to share ideas about Broxtowe’s parks
Don't miss this opportunity to help shape your local parks and make sure they achieve high standards.
Some of the sites we are asking about this year include:
- Hall Om Wong Open Space in Kimberley
- Alexandrina Plantation/Sandy Lane in Bramcote
- Inham Nook Recreation Ground in Chilwell
- Banks Road Open Space in Toton
The selection of parks in the survey is determined through a regular cycle which ensures all of the Council’s sites are surveyed over the course of three years.
The survey closes on 30 August 2024.
Architects’ drawings bring £6.2m Stapleford ‘Pencil Works’ to life
New artwork is being shared with residents that shows what a brand-new retail, office and makers’ centre on Victoria Street in Stapleford could look like.
The £6.2m building, called the Pencil Works, is funded through the Stapleford Towns Fund. It has been designed to offer high-quality facilities to support the town aims of becoming a great place to visit, work and do business.

Celebrating Nottinghamshire Day
The Mayor of Broxtowe, Councillor Sue Paterson will raise the Nottinghamshire Day flag to mark the day in Broxtowe.
Nottinghamshire Day takes place on the 25 August as this date marks the anniversary of the start of the English Civil War, an event triggered by Charles I raising the royal standard at Nottingham Castle in 1642.
You can join the Nottinghamshire Day celebrations this weekend at the Robin Hood Festival, Sherwood Forest, 10am to 4pm.
You said, We did
You said: Develop community led initiatives to support people with mental health issues and loneliness.
We did: £1,000 from the Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Funding has been used to support Warm Spaces and Place of Welcome initiatives. This will help to support social inclusion and keep people warm over winter.
