Last chance - have your say on Brinsley Headstocks
The Council would like your thoughts on the future of the Headstocks and the surrounding open space, along with some information on whether you use the site and why it is important to you.
Working closely with the Friends of Brinsley Headstocks, the results from this consultation will be used in a report to Council Members, helping to inform the approach taken.

Musicians to perform across Broxtowe as Pop Up Proms Returns – part of the Broxtowe Creates Festival
Local musicians will be taking to venues across Broxtowe as Pop Up Proms returns for 2024, as part of the Broxtowe Creates Festival.
The proms will kick off on Saturday 15 June with performances from Alderman White School Jazz Quartet and Jeanie Barton in Beeston and Eastwood.
This will compliment a host of diverse cultural events which will take place as part of the festival, including theatre performances, art workshops, film showings, live music, a children’s writing competition and an art exhibition.
Over 630 tonnes of carbon to be saved by Broxtowe Borough Council’s change in fuel
By changing from diesel to biofuel, the Council expects to achieve savings of over 630 tonnes of CO2 emissions. That’s equivalent to the impressive weight of 158 Asian Elephants.
This biofuel, in the form of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), is a premium, high quality vehicle fuel made from plant based oils and is an alternative fuel to diesel. This change in fuel is part of Broxtowe Borough Council’s ambitious efforts to become carbon neutral by 31 December 2027.
