Broxtowe Borough Council White Ribbon Reaccreditation
Broxtowe Borough Council has successfully been reaccredited by White Ribbon UK as an officially recognised organisation for the next 3 years.
The White Ribbon campaign is a national project that aims to work with local government, private businesses and the public to raise awareness of and work towards ending violence against women and girls. Over the last 3 years of our accreditation we have worked to spread the message of the campaign across the Borough and beyond.
We have helped deliver educational sessions for children and adults on subjects surrounding domestic abuse, encouraged employees, partners and members of the public to sign as ambassadors and champions of the White Ribbon cause and spearheaded numerous initiatives to help safeguard women and girls in our area from violence.

Broxtowe Borough Council's Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Licensing Enforcement Officer Sarah Steventon, alongside ASB Enforcement Officer Debby Griffiths and PSCO Christopher Jones visited addresses in the Broxtowe area and advised on how to keep personal items safe, as well as distributing crime prevention resources to local residents.

- 3 drivers didn’t have their badges with them and 1 was displaying an expired badge although he did have a current driver’s license.
Other issues found included a private hire vehicle which was dual plated with Nottingham County Council and City of Wolverhampton, the vehicle owner will be asked to surrender one of these licenses.
