This bulletin will cover updates on crime and anti-social behaviour, mental health, armed forces, domestic abuse, health and more.


Nottinghamshire Fraud Partnership Charter

Anyone can experience fraud. It is a continually evolving threat that can have a devastating and long-lasting impact on its victims. Not only does it result in financial loss, it also causes mental and physical trauma. Fraud is the most experienced crime type reported by residents as part of the annual Police and Crime Survey. An average of 543 offences are reported to Action Fraud each month for Nottinghamshire.

Gambling premise checks

Gambling premises were checked by our Licensing Enforcement Officer under the gambling act 2005. The premises that were checked included betting shops, high street family entertainment and pubs. As part of the checks posters on help and access to support around gambling addiction, and also a reminder of the legal age are provided.   


School Outreach

Two members from the Communities Team visited Beeston Fields Primary School and spoke on anti-social behaviour and Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week. The theme was ‘your voice matters’ which is based on article 12 of the UN constitution of children’s rights. The children enjoyed the interaction and were encouraged that their voice and their choices are important.

Stapleford Memory Cafe

The Stapleford Memory Café is held at the Equalised Club, Albert Avenue Stapleford, Nottingham, NG9 8ET.

Carers Hub Service

The Nottinghamshire Carers Hub information sessions for carers, will be covering: fuel poverty; support around energy efficiency or heating solutions to people living in fuel poverty as well as the cost of living crisis; space to talk about how this could be impacting you and much more. 

The Fuel Poverty and Cost of Living Sessions will take place
on 7 and 14 March 2024 from 1pm to 3pm.

Young Carers Action Day

On Wednesday 13 March between 2pm to 4pm there will be a Young Carers Action Day taking place from  at Vision West Nottinghamshire College, Derby Road Mansfield, NG18 5BH. 

This event will include stalls and activities for young carers and their families.

A two-day programme of workshops led by experienced business trainers will teach you the nuts and bolts of starting and running a successful business.

Boots and Beret Awards 2024

Following the inaugural 2023 event, nominations are now invited for the Nottinghamshire County Council Forces Community Awards 2024. Open to all businesses who are signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, or those in receipt of either the bronze, silver or gold Defence Employers Recognition Scheme Award and Registered Charities in the County.
